Robust, branching plants with long, toothed leaves that are hairy on the undersides, and bright orange, dahlia-like flower heads up to 7.5cm (3") across. Free-flowering plants that are loved by bees and butterflies and are ideal for cutting. Flowers July-October. Height 100-150cm (40-60").

Growing Information
Sow the seed thinly 13mm (½") deep direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil where the plants are to flower. Germination usually takes 10-15 days. As the seedlings develop, thin them out gradually to achieve a final spacing of 30cm (12"). For early flowering sow indoors in February-March, transplant into pots and trays then acclimatise before planting outside where the plants are to flower, once the risk of frosts have disappeared. Sow outdoors April-May.
