Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 Plus Exterior Satin Wood Stain Teak 085 2.5 Litre

A highly durable, medium build, solvent-borne exterior woodstain that provides a highly translucent, UV resistant, semi-gloss (satin) finish.

Cetol Filter 7 is a highly translucent satin exterior woodstain for windows and doors. It can be used as a maintenance coat for existing woodstain systems or over a base stain of Cetol HLS on new or bare timbers.

Cetol Filter 7 is an exterior woodstain for windows and doors, either as a one-coat maintenance application for existing woodstain systems or two coats over a base stain of Cetol HLS on new or bare timbers. Its advanced UV light absorbers provide superior protection from the damaging effects of sunlight on timber.

It is not suitable for decking or other areas subjected to high levels of abrasion.

Preparation

Timber surfaces to be treated must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, wax and grease. The wood should be allowed to acclimatise to its end-use environment before treating. The moisture content of the timber should not exceed 18% prior to coating.

Joinery should be treated with a base coat of Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus and othewise free of any other surface coatings

Application

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. This product is ready to use straight from the tin and does not require thinning.

Only apply at temperatures ranging between 5°C and 35°C and a relative humidity of no more than 85%. Stir thoroughly before and periodically during application to ensure a consistent finish.

1. Apply 2 coats of Sikkens Cetol 7 Plus
2. For best results, it is necessary to keep the interval between application of these coats as short as possible
3. Allow to dry fully before application of the next coat
